Questions we get asked
- What happens on a declined payment?
- Nothing is charged. The platform fee only applies when money actually moves. Cascading a decline to a second processor doesn't cost anything either.
- Where does the money settle?
- Into your own bank account. Your Certus Processing account is opened after a short review and managed from the dashboard; you keep full ownership, payouts on your schedule, and a live view of balance and payouts.
- Can I keep my existing processor?
- Yes. Add your own gateway keys as a route and payment flows can send traffic there alongside your Certus Processing account. Orchestration and messaging work the same either way.
- How do subscriptions get charged?
- Renewals are billed through your Certus Processing account, or your own gateway, with the same 1.25% platform fee. Dunning sequences run automatically on failed renewals at no additional cost.
